HSE University announces the open call for postdoctoral positions starting in the 2020/2021 academic year!

Among the positions advertised, two are of particular interest for historians of science
First: Postdoctoral Fellow in Theory and History of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities (https://iri.hse.ru/humanities). You will be working with a number of wonderful researchers working on topic from history of literary science at the beginning of the 20th century, through history of cybernetics, to history of Russian universities and sciences after the transition. Having this position for the last 3 years myself, I can warmly recommend it!
Second: The Higher School of Economics Laboratory for Environmental and Technological History of the Center for Historical Research in St. Petersburg, Russia, invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of environmental and technological history (https://iri.hse.ru/technological_history). We are particularly interested in applications on either of these aspects: history of natural resources, including history of scientific expertise; history of technological innovations and urban mobility; industrial and natural heritage. The application can focus on the crossroads of all three themes. We invite scholars with a strong record who employ interdisciplinary approaches and are capable of publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals.
