Higher School of Economics organises a 4th conference on the current state of universities in Russia (and beyond). Apart from the usual amount of success propaganda and applied education studies (=how to make all work more for less, in various versions), the conference offers some reflection on virtues and values of universities (Alex Pleshkov, solo and as the organiser of a final roundtable on this very topic), scholarly journals as platform of discussion on universities (Sergey Matveev), and..., well, the program is here https://www.hse.ru/kru/program2020, so see for yourself.
